Welcome to Loddon House

Sketch of Loddon House, one of the two buildings near me which are in the process of being demolished, one of three which is currently abandoned. I find the harsh lines opposed with the random shapes of the broken windows to give the facade character.

I don’t like change, I love the architectural history of these buildings, which I’m sure at the time were thought of as very stylish, but now considered to be crass. But in fact I am enjoying the process of the demolition, seeing a building being cut up and exposing the structure, I just wish it could stay as a piece of artwork, a building half torn down and falling apart.
